Makassar City once again won the best city award in the category of Best City Acceleration and Expansion of Regional Digitalisation Team (TP2DD) held by the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs at Dyandra Convention Center Surabaya, Thursday (7/11/2024).
This is the third time Makassar City has received this award since 2022, 2023, and now 2024.
TP2DD itself is a form of activity to support innovation, acceleration, and expansion of Electronification of Local Government Transactions (ETP), as well as integration of local financial management, support for economic integration, and financial digitalisation.
Firman Pagarra as the Head of Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) of Makassar City said he was grateful for the award. He said that PAKINTA (integrated and digitalised tax), which was created in early 2022 as a digitalisation of local tax payments, has succeeded in increasing the potential of local tax revenue through the use of digitalisation.
“Alhamdulillah, Makassar has again proven to be the best city in Indonesia and “on the right track” in the development of digitalisation, especially those related to the digitalisation of local taxes and levies,” he said.
“Surely this is a trigger to continue implementing the principle of digitalisation technology, especially for regional levies in Makassar City. We should not be complacent, but continue to increase the potential of regional taxes and levies through digitalisation,” he continued.
HOW DID THE MAKASSAR CITY GOVERNMENT WIN TP2DD IN 2023?
Under the leadership of Mayor Moh. Ramdhan “Danny” Pomanto, Makassar City has received two important awards from the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs.
They are the best city in the category of the Best 2023 Regional Digitalisation Acceleration and Expansion Team (TP2DD) and the city with the Best Regional Digitalisation Acceleration and Expansion Program (P2DD).
“Makassar City received two awards. First, the award in accelerating regional digitalisation for the Sulawesi area. And second, the regional digitalisation program that became the champion of Indonesia,” said Danny Pomanto after receiving the award plaque on the sidelines of the P2DD National Coordination Meeting, in Jakarta, Tuesday (3/10/2023).
“Alhamdulillah, Makassar is the leading city in Indonesia in the development of digitalisation. Don’t be complacent and keep moving forward for Makassar to be twice as good,” he said.
The Makassar City Government was also recorded to have achieved IDR 1.5 trillion in Regional Original Revenue (PAD). This value is recorded as the highest revenue in the history of the Makassar City Government.
Head of Makassar City Bapenda Firman Hamid Pagarra said the achievement was also the highest during the achievement of PAD in Makassar City.
“This year, 2023, will go down in history as we managed to achieve a PAD of IDR 1.5 trillion. This is the highest in the history of the Makassar City Government and occurred during the leadership of the Mayor Danny Pomanto,” he said on Friday (29/12/2023).
This achievement cannot be separated from the innovations and systems presented by Bapenda Makassar as a place to pay all types of taxes for taxpayers in Makassar City.
Bapenda’s innovation, PAKINTA (Integrated and Digitised Tax), also achieved achievements at the national level, namely the Champion of the Regional Digitalisation Acceleration and Expansion Team (TP2DD) 2023 as one of the best applications. As well as taking part in the Innovative Government Award 2023 where Makassar won the IGA 2023.
MAKASSAR OPD WON SIMILAR AWARD FROM THE GOVERNMENT IN 2022
Regional Apparatus Organisation (OPD) in Makassar is considered successful in implementing the principles of Acceleration and Expansion of Regional Digitalisation (TP2DD) as the best city in the Eastern Indonesia region.
In addition, the integration of regional financial management, as well as support for economic integration and financial digitalisation are considered to have been carried out well by the Makassar City Government.
The expansion of the Makassar City Government’s Electronification of Local Government Transactions (ETP) is known to have realised better financial governance in increasing the potential of regional government revenue through the use of digitalisation technology.
“Alhamdulillah, we have become a champion in Eastern Indonesia in the city category. This is surely a trigger and encouragement for us to continue to ground Sombere and Smart City and Makaverse,” said Danny Pomanto in his written statement, Tuesday (6/12/2022).
He stated that this award is proof that OPD in Makassar have implemented the principles of TP2DD. He said that one of TP2DD’s tasks is to support innovation, acceleration, and expansion of ETP.
